In a letterpress course, we were required to create a two-sided postcard. Using the lyrics from Blackstar’s song “Respiration” for the text, the postcard depicts images of New York in colours reminiscent of yellow cabs and pigeons, both of which are synonymous with the city. The three verses were printed in values of black on top of one another to mimic the appearance of a pigeon.
